Why "Two Palms at the Groves"?
Well, we have two palm trees in our front yard and of course a small orange grove - so naturally we thought the name would be appropriate.
We are not a historical landmark nor have any architectural significant designs, but we do have an old (for this area) 60 year old ranch house that was built with the first owners own hands (the Taverners). They also planted all the orange trees on the property. Mr and Mrs. Taverner passed in 2003, so we are the second owners.
Our uniqueness comes from our friendly hearts, our inviting backyard, and our suggestions to you from our personal experience in southern California.
Several miles East of Disneyland is a small town called Orange. It have a very quaint downtown with a large traffic circle and many antique stores. Just East of Orange is our city, Villa Park. It's the smallest city in Orange County, but oddly enough it has the largest average lot size in Orange County. During the 40's and 50's when the parcels were divided, this area was considered horse property, so they city planners made the lots with a minimum of 20,000 sq.ft. to make sure there was enough room for the horses. Most lots are an acre or more. Ours is about an acre. There are still some homes with horses, and sometimes you can see them riding around the area.
